The Green-e logo is the most trusted symbol in America for high quality renewable energy. The logo is backed by the Green-e program, the nation's leading independent certification and verification program from the Center for Resource Solutions.

When a renewable energy generation system (like PV Panels) operates, it creates electricity that is delivered to the energy grid -- that network of wires you see above your head. To promote the sale of renewable electricity nationally, a system was established that separates renewable electricity generation into two parts: the electricity and the renewable “attributes” of that generation. These renewable attributes are known as green tags. The environmental attributes they represent are things such as cleaner air and water that result from the use of less fossil-based energy. The renewable attributes or “green” attributes are sold separately as renewable certificates. Only one certificate may be issued for each kilowatthour of renewable electricity produced.
